The LA Galaxy won its first league game in six matches, and Giovani dos Santos was in the mix of things again as the Mexican forward scored a golazo to help his team beat the Colombus Crew 2-1 on Saturday.
Bruce Arena’s side took the lead in the 76th minute through a Baggio Husidic stunner before Giovani dos Santos doubled the lead five minutes later. Dos Santos performed one of his trademark chips, looping the ball past Colombus Crew goalkeeper Steve Clark for the 2-0.
The Crew managed to pull a goal back in added time through Adam Jahn, but the Galaxy held on to their tenth victory of the season.
The goal was Giovani dos Santos’ tenth goal of the season and he currently leads the LA Galaxy in goals scored this season, three more than captain Robbie Keane.
