After two straight defeats, Chivas de Guadalajara travel to the port of Veracruz to take on the struggling Tiburones Rojos.
From the onset, it was always going to be a difficult week for the Rebaño Sagrado. With three games in six days, including a visit to an in-form Toluca side and a game against the undefeated league leaders Tigres, the game against Veracruz always looked like the most accessible. In that regard, there is no excuse for Matias Almeyda and Co. Chivas need a positive result here before embarking towards a crucial period in the Liga MX calendar year.
But Veracruz will be feeling much of the same pressure. The difference is the Tiburones Rojos manager, Pablo Marini, is facing criticism from fans, and a defeat against Chivas could likely mean the end of his reign at Veracruz. For Marini, it is now or never against the Rebaño.
