Chivas Guadalajara vs. Chiapas: Highlights

Chivas made it five Liga MX games unbeaten after beating Chiapas 2-0 at the Estadio Chivas on Saturday.

Two weeks after their Clasico Nacional victory over Club America, the Rebaño Sagrado got off to the perfect start when Carlos Cisneros cut inside from the left wing and smashed home from outside the box.

Chivas built on their strong start and dominated the first half. Issac Brizuela, who scored a brace against Las Aguilas, added a second when he latched on to a Michael Perez through ball before poking the ball past Liborio Sanchez.

The visitors improved in the second period but never really came close cutting the deficit.

In the 60th minute, new Chivas signing Alan Pulido made his debut, coming on for 22-year-old Angel Zaldivar.

And with 15 minutes left, Pulido nearly scored Chivas’ third to finish off the game, but the ref judged the former Tigres striker to be offside.

At the end, Chiapas never really found a way to mount a recovery, and Chivas held on to their second straight win of the season.

Next, Chivas visit Toluca in action of week 9, while Chiapas will host the lowly Cruz Azul.
