The Mexico Olympic squad will continue their gold medal defense on Sunday when they take on Fiji in their second game of Group C. After earning an impressive 2-2 draw with Germany, El Tri have what is on paper their easiest game of the group.
Fiji, who are participating in their first men’s Olympic soccer tournament, arrive to this game after taking an 8-0 beating from South Korea. Given that, it would take a result of epic proportions to see the Bula Boys come away from this one with a win.
In that regard, the question here might not be how Mexico win but by how many goals. That’s all the more relevant here as the balance of the group could be decided by goal difference.
