Liga MX Best XI for Week 7

Chivas’ Clásico Nacional win is well rewarded by Liga Bancomer MX

On the back of their 3-0 dismantling of archrival Club América, Chivas players were well rewarded by Liga Bancomer MX, with six Rebaños named to the league’s best eleven. Tijuana, Santos Laguna, Puebla, and Necaxa were also represented in the weekly honor.

Right back Jesús Chapo Sánchez, center back Hedgardo Marín, left back Edwin Hernández, right winger Isaac Conejito Brizuela, central midfielder Michael Pérez, and midfielder Orbelín Pineda were all honored for their performances against Club América on Saturday. Conejito’s two goals and assist also earned him Player of the Week from the league.

Santos Laguna goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín made four saves in Los Guerreros 1-0 win over Léon, getting the nod as the best goalkeeper in Week 7, while Tijuana striker Gabriel Hauche’s game-winning goal against Pumas put him with Necaxa’s Edson Puch and the Puebla duo of center back Edgar Dueñas and striker Matías Alustiza to round out the Best XI. Puch’s goal helped Necaxa beat Querétaro 2-1 while Dueñas had a goal and Alustiza had two as Puebla thrashed Jaguares 3-0.
