Club America coach Ignacio Ambriz must deal with several absences for this Clásico Nacional. Las Aguilas will be without Miguel Samudio and Oribe Peralta for another week, meaning Osmar Mares and Silvio Romero get the nod. Bruno Valdez was also questionable on the leadup to this game, and as such, Renato Ibarra gets the start along the aforementioned Romero and Darwin Quintero up front. The most noteworthy name in the America lineup, however, might be that of Rubens Sambueza. “Sambu” was set to miss this game through suspension, but after a successful appeal, the midfielder will be starting for Las Aguilas.
Meanwhile, Matias Almeyda repeats almost the exact same lineup from the past two weeks, with the exception of Hedgardo Marín who replaces Carlos Salcedo in the starting lineup. Salcedo completed a move to Serie A side Fiorentina during the midweek after a reported loan-move to the Florence outfit. Also in the starting lineup are youngsters Michael Perez and Javier Eduardo “La Chofis” Lopez as former Leon duo Jose Juan “Gallito” Vazquez and Carlos ALberto “Gullit” Peña make the bench.
You will be able to watch the game at 10pm EST on Univision, Univision Deportes Network, and fuboTV.
