Player of The Week

Oribe Peralta left Club America fans with a hat trick to remember him as he goes off to the Olympics. The 32 year old striker had a “perfect” hat trick as Club America dominated Toluca to keep pace with Pachuca a top the table with 6 points each. If the Olympic squad wants any chance at a medal, Oribe will need to keep his hot streak going.

Flop of The Week

Liga MX office for allowing teams to set their own kickoff times. 7 games on a Saturday night is insane for fans of the league. It also left us with one game on Sunday, a prime day to watch soccer with the family. If the league is going to keep allowing teams to sell their own TV rights, it should set the schedule itself to avoid this type of situation.
