A brilliant late Silvio Romero goal set Club America on their way to their first victory of the season. Now, in their second consecutive game at the Estadio Azteca, Las Aguilas host Toluca in action of Week 2.

Despite winning their opener, Las Aguilas were maybe lucky to get away without a conceding. In that respect, the warnings are already there, and against a team like the Diablos Rojos, America will have to be much more concentrated on closing off their opponent’s breakaways.

Toluca arrive to this game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Atlas, and Hernan Cristante’s side certainly boast of talented players up-front capable of outfoxing the America defense. One of those attackers is Enrique Triverio, who has scored an astounding 23 goals in 41 appearances for the Diablos Rojos.

The last time these two met at the Azteca, Erbin Trejo scored a stunner to give the Toluca the win. Ignacio Ambriz and Co. won’t be hoping for a repeat of that this time around.
