The ChivasTV era gets underway on Saturday as Chivas play their first home game of the season when they take on Monterrey at the Estadio Chivas.

For much of the off-season, the narrative around the Rebaño Sagrado was about their new online streaming service and how it would hold up when the season begun. Now, fans in Mexico will experience their first official league match using the controversial streaming service.

Chivas isn’t all about online streaming services, though, and after an opening defeat to Pumas UNAM, they will look to bounce back and get their first win of the season.

But Monterrey will be thinking along the same lines. Antonio “Turco” Mohamed’s side suffered a disappointing 1-1 draw with Puebla in their first league outing, and a win over Chivas would be a nice confidence boost ahead of a season where they will once again be favorites.
