Tigres UANL winger Jürgen Damm is set to sign for German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, Fox Deportes reporter Ruben Rodriguez confirmed on Sunday.
The 23-year-old Mexican international, who is of German heritage and carries an EU passport, has previously played for clubs including Estudiantes Tecos and Pachuca.
Since, Damm has been a constant starter for a Tigres side that finished as runners-up in the Copa Libertadors and clinched the 2015 Liga MX Apertura title.
In total, Damm has been capped three times by the Mexico national team, scoring once in El Tri's famous win over Honduras at San Pedro Sula.
Jurgen Damm's arrival would mean he is the third Mexican playing in the Bundesliga, following in the footsteps of Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez and Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Marco Fabian.
Damm was chosen as one of Mexico's 23 players for the Copa America Centenario, but had to pull out before the start of the tournament through injury.
