It's been a rough couple of days in Mexican futbol, but all in all, there are plenty of positives to take from this season. On the player front, never before was there this amount of individuals scoring goals and making a name for themselves all across Europe. With that in mind, here are our top 10 goals from Mexicans abroad this season. We hope it  gives you an optimistic take on things to come for the upcoming European season.

10) Diego Reyes heads home vs. Espanyol

For the most part, you can say Diego Reyes played quite well while on loan for Real Sociedad. On this occasion, Reyes enjoyed an excellent outing against Espanyol, scoring his side's fourth goal in their 5-0 thrashing over the Periquitos.

9) Raul Jimenez gives Benfica hope vs. Bayern

At the end it wasn't meant to be, but for a brief moment it looked like Benfica could potentially knock out Bayern Munich from the Champions League. From the start, Raul Jimenez was tasked with taking over the suspended Jonas and he delivered by scoring this nice goal.

8) Miguel Layun scores stunner vs. Boavista

It is safe to assume Miguel Layun had one of his best seasons as a professional in his first year with FC Porto. We know about his ability to pick out passes but he can also pitch in with a goal or two. This goal vs. Boavista was an absolute stunner.

7) Andres Guardado, free kick master.

Andres Guardado doesn't score many goals, but when he does, they tend to be golazos.  Here he shows his ability to knock down free kicks.

6) Hector Moreno, defender or striker?

Believe it or not, Hector Moreno scored six goals this season for PSV Eindhoven. Not too bad for a center-back right? This was arguably his best goal as he finished home from an Andres Guardado pass.

5) Carlos Vela scores trademark chip.

Carlos Vela has a long history with chips. Here he made his presence felt with another delightful finish against Espanyol.

4) Jonathan dos Santos' Europa League rocket

Let's just agree Jonathan dos Santos meant it to be a shot.

3) HH taconazo!

Everything about this goal is what you would imagine peak Portri looks like. Jesus "Tecatito" Corona's reception was absolutely marvelous and Hector Herrera's finish was the icing on the cake.

2) Chicharitor's first goal vs. Gladbach

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez recorded his first hat-trick in a 5-0 win over Borrusia Monchengladbach. There was something about his first goal, though, that made it one of the most memorable in his first season with Bayer Leverkusen.

1) Tecatito's golazo vs. Madeira

Listen, it is unfair to choose just one Jesus "Tecatito" Corona goal this season. The guy is an expert at scoring golazos. But if it had to be one, this goal against União da Madeira was special. Of course, feel free to disagree as there are plenty of goals to choose from.
