Mexico Preliminary Roster for Copa America Centenario announced

Juan Carlos Osorio has released his 40-man preliminary roster ahead of the Copa America Centenario, which will take place across the United States from June 3-26.

The roster includes a group of World Cup veterans and youngsters, with the highlighted returns of LA Galaxy forward Giovani dos Santos and Malaga goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.

Juan Carlos Osorio has until May 20 to cut the list down to 23. The rules, however, state Mexico can make injury-related changes up until the start of the tournament on June 3.

El Tri will play a pair of tune-up friendlies against Paraguay and Chile before opening the tournament against Uruguay in Glendale, Arizona. Mexico close out the group stage with games against Jamaica in Pasadena, California, and Venezuela in Houston, Texas.
