Led by Hector Herrera, FC Porto came from a goal down to beat Benfica 2-1 in the 234th edition of Portugual's O Clássico.

With Herrera, Jesus "Tecaatito" Corona, and Miguel Layun all starting for Porto, it was Benfica who took the lead on 18 minutes when Konstantinos Mitroglou combined with youngster Renato Sanches at the edge of the box. The Greek international gathered and swept past Iker Casillas for the 1-0.

But Benfica's joy didn't last very long, and ten minutes later, FC Porto equalized through a stunning goal from Hector Herrera. Miguel Layun, who now leads the continent with 16 assists in all competitions, found Hector Herrera with space outside the box, and "HH" immediately found the bottom corner to equalize.

In the second half, FC Porto improved and it didn't take long for them to score the winner. In the 65th minute, a transition started by Hector Herrera finished with Yacine Brahimi and Vincent Aboubakar combining just outside the Benfica box. Aboubakar then fired past Julio Cesar to give the Dragões the lead.

Benfica mounted forward, but Porto held on to earn their second O Clássico victory of the season.

The result propels Porto within three points of Benfica at the top of the table after 22 games played in the Primeira Liga.

Jesus "Tecatito" Corona was subbed out in the 59th minute, and Raul Jimenez saw the game from the bench.
