Club America coach Ricardo La Volpe surprises with his first leg lineup. In the defense, Bruno Valdez, who has looked shaky since coming back from injury, gets the start at right-back. 19-year-old Edson Alvarez had been doing things well, but “el Bigoton” puts Jose Daniel “Chepe” Guerrero in charge of the sweeper position, opting for experience over promise.

In the midfield, despite struggling with a knock, Renato Ibarra starts on the right, although it is unknown if he will be able to go the full 90. William da Silva and Rubens Sambueza make up the rest of the azulcrema midfield.

On the attack, Michael Arroyo and Oribe Peralta will be the ones in charge of scoring the goals for Las Aguilas.

Lastly, no room for Osvaldo Martinez, who doesn’t even make the bench for America.

Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti, on the other hand, makes one key change to his lineup. Jesus Duenas will move from central midfield to right-back, with Lucas Zelarayan moving in as the constructor in the midfield. Otherwise, there is no major surprises from the Universitarios. As ever, look to Andre-Pierre Gignac to make something happen at the Estadio Azteca tonight.

You will be able to watch the game at 10:00pm EST on Univision, Univision Deportes Network, and fuboTV.
