We are getting down to the business end of the Apertura season. With only two games left in the regular season, Leon and Chivas meet forces at the Estadio Nou Camp.

Undefeated under coach Javier Torrente, Leon need a win to stay among the top eight in the league table. The Esmeraldas are unbeaten in their last eight league games and have 22 points from 15 matches.

Chivas arrive with added pressure after losing the Copa MX final to Queretaro during the midweek, but Copa MX failure aside, the Rebaño Sagrado are in a much better league position than their opponents. Chivas is currently fourth in the league table and need just a victory to wrap up a place in the Liguilla.

The bad news for Matias Almeyda, though, is he will be without Angel Zaldivar and Jesus “Chapo” Sanchez, who are both set to miss the end of the regular season through injury.
