This could be a preview of the Liga MX Liguilla Final, as first place Xolos host third place Tigres in the penultimate match of the 2016 Apertura.

Tijuana has won four out of their last six, including becoming the first team to beat Toluca at altitude in Estadio Alberto "Chivo" Córdoba with a 1-0 win last weekend. Miguel “El Piojo” Herrera has Xolos playing some of the best soccer of the season, outscoring opponents 8-3 in that six game stretch. Dayro Moreno leads Liga MX with 10 goals, however Xolos are getting goals from Gabriel Hauche, Milton Caraglio, and Avilés Hurtado in addition to Moreno.

As it is the last regular season home match, Xolos practiced in front of fans on Tuesday night, including members of La Masakr3 supporter’s group. They’ll need to carry that momentum with them, as Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti’s Tigres is consistently one of the best teams in Mexico. Although they lost two straight at the start of October, those are the only blemishes on the entire season. The duo of French strikers Andy Delort and Andre-Pierre Gignac are among the best in Liga MX, although Tuca doesn’t usually use a two-striker setup. Look for a more standard 4-2-3-1 from Tigres, with Delort or Gignac up top.

Andre-Pierre Gignac will be a handful for the Xolos defense.

Tijuana is currently three points up on Pachuca and six up on Tigres. Tuzos play Cruz Azul in Mexico City tomorrow and host Club América in two weeks after the international break to finish the season. Tijuana heads to Veracruz to finish out the season, needing a total of four points to clinch the Apertura. Tigres meanwhile will finish the season hosting Querétaro.
