Everything to play for on Sunday as las Chivas de Guadalajara take on Las Aguilas del America in the second leg of their Liga MX quarterfinals clash. The first leg ended in a 1-1 stalemate, with the slight advantage going to Chivas on away goals heading into the second match.

Las Aguilas will have fond memories of their last Liguilla clash with Chivas, having knocked their arch-rivals out of the same stage of the competition a season ago.

That was the fifth time in the past six occasions they have met in the Liguilla that Club America progressed over Chivas.

But Matias Almeyda and his side will be determined that doesn’t happen again. America already suffered two defeats at the hands of Chivas in their centenary season, and Chivas will insist on making life difficult for them away from Mexico City, where Las Aguilas haven’t won a Liguilla game since 2014.

Right through the league, there isn’t an event bigger than this one. A crunch elimination game between the two most historic teams in Mexico makes the Estadio Chivas the place to be on Sunday night.

Venue: Estadio Chivas, Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico
