Tijuana is one point from clinching their first torneo in club history. Veracruz meanwhile is fighting for points to stave off relegation in the summer.

With a win or a draw, Xolos will finish atop the table - something they weren’t even able to do during their championship run in the 2012 Apertura. Their best finish was second behind Toluca in that 2012 Apertura torneo. A big part of that is Dayro Moreno, who is tied with León’s Mauro Boselli and Monarcas Morelia’s Raúl Ruidíaz for the league lead in goals scored with ten.

Veracruz on the other hand has allowed a league worst 37 goals and only 9 points on the season - second from the bottom of the table only to Chiapas. While their defense is awful their offense is respectable enough, having scored 20 goals on the season. Julio César Furch leads the team with six goals, however the club hasn’t won a league game since defeating Pachuca back on September 9.
