Queretaro vs. Club America: Highlights

Michael Arroyo earned Club America a 1-1 draw at Queretaro as manager Ricardo Antonio La Volpe maintained his unbeaten run in front of Las Aguilas.

America carried more of the attacking threat in the first half, but the game didn’t come to life until early in the second period.

Carlos Fierro crossed from the right, and Andres Renteria, unmarked, fluffed the ball to Camilo Sanvezzo, who fired home an easy finish to give Queretaro the lead.

Then Michael Arroyo immediately lifted the atmosphere for the away fans. Arroyo received the ball inside the penalty area and drove in a right-footed strike past Tiago Volpi to level the score.

The goals, though, made for a dull final few minutes, and at the end, both sides settled for a 1-1 draw.

Las Aguilas next will play host to arch-rivals Chivas in the semifinals of the Copa MX, while Queretaro will take on last-place Chiapas.
