Ricardo Antonio La Volpe’s tinkering with America’s starting lineup continues as the former El Tri manager goes back to a line of five in their visit to the Estadio Corregidora. Gil Buron gets the nod on the defense, while Osmar Mares is inserted back in the starting lineup after further injury woes to left-back Miguel Samudio.
Meanwhile, Jose Daniel “Chepe” Guerrero will cover for Rubens Sambueza and Osvaldo Martinez in the midfield, with Michael Arroyo and Silvio Romero leading the line. Surprisingly, Oribe Peralta loses his place in the starting line-up but could be an interesting second half option for La Volpe coming off the bench.
