The Copa MX semifinal matchups are set. On one side, Queretaro will face Toluca, and in the game of the round, Chivas and Club America will meet in another historic edition of the Clásico Nacional.
In the first game, Las Aguilas defeated Chiapas 3-2 to advance to the semifinals.
Queretaro and Cruz Azul were tied at the break, but two second half goals from Carlos Fierro meant los Gallos Blancos sealed their place in the final four.
Chivas then advanced and set-up a historic clash with their arch-rivals after edging second-tier side Alebrijes de Oaxaca.
Finally, Queretaro learned they will face Toluca after the Diablos Rojos defeated Puebla 2-0 at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc.
Toluca vs. Queretaro will take place at the Estadio Alberto “Chivo” Cordoba, while Chivas vs. America will be at the Estadio Azteca. Times and dates are to be determined, but it is expected the Clasico Nacional will be on Wednesday night.
