For their match against Xolos de Tijuana, Club America manager Ricardo la Volpe welcomes the return of starting left-back Miguel Samudio to the starting lineup. Bruno Valdez takes over at right-back, with Pablo Aguilar and Paolo Goltz keeping their place in the defense. Renato Ibarra, who looked impressive for Ecuador during World Cup qualifiers, also keeps his place in the starting lineup.

Meanwhile, Miguel Herrera’s return to the Estadio Azteca is one with no surprises. The league-leading manager boasts of the best front-line in all of Mexico after 12 weeks.
