Raul Jimenez put in a strong outing as he helped Benfica to a 6-0 win over Maritimo on Wednesday night.
The Mexico international notched an assist and scored a goal as the Portuguese champions eased their way towards second in the Primeira Liga table.
In the 34th minute, Raul sparked a dangerous counter on the left wing before picking out Pizzi inside the box to earn his first league assist.
Moments after, Jimenez fired into the back of the net from a rebound to score the 3-0. The goal was Jimenez's sixth since arriving to Benfica over the summer from Atletico Madrid.
Raul Jimenez finished the match with four shots, while coming close on two occasions from doubling his tally.
Elsewhere, Hector Herrera, Jesus "Tecatito" Corona, and Miguel Layun all started in FC Porto's 1-1 draw with Rio Ave.
Working the right side, Tecatito logged in a bright start, but it was the captain Hector Herrera who got on the scoresheet for the Dragões.
In the 22nd minute, the Tijuana native produced a brilliant reception before volleying home to give Porto the lead.
However, Rio Ave clawed back to equalize ten minutes later as Hector Herrera and company had to settle for a point at the end of the match.
FC Porto now drop down to third in the league table and will face Boavista on Sunday.
