Week 2 kicks off on Friday with Veracruz hosting Leon. The Tiburones Rojos are a side who are typically dangerous at home and should be even more lifted by their 2-2 draw with Chivas last week. But La Fiera will want to make it two wins in a row after the 2-0 beating of Santos Laguna at the Nou Camp.

Undoubtedly, the game of the week, though, is between Chivas and Cruz Azul. Anyone who watched Chivas last week will know they are capable of playing some thrilling football.

Tomas Boy's men, meanwhile, put in a lot effort and only managed to get a point at Monarcas Morelia. The Cementeros are still without star signing Victor Vazquez, but their big problem remains in the defense, where Julio Cesar Dominguez and Francisco Javier "Maza" Rodriguez have struggled with consistency.

Like Chivas vs. Cruz Azul, the other big game of the week involves sides from Guadalajara and the capital. The clash between Atlas and Club America at the Estadio Jalisco could go a long way towards setting the early season tempo of both teams.

New coach Gustavo Costas is already doing a good job at Atlas and the Rojinegros are on a high after finishing Week 1 at the top of the league table.

On the other hand, with perhaps a bit less fortune, Las Aguilas could have lost in their 0-0 draw against Puebla last week, and manager Ignacio Ambriz is already in a dire situation. A defeat on Saturday would only add more pressure on the highly criticized manager.
