Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez scored his first career club hat-trick as Bayer Leverkusen cruised to a 5-0 win over Borussia Gladbach on Saturday.
Gladbach had not lost a game since André Schubert's appointment back in September but struggled to keep tabs on the forward partnership of Chicharito and Stefan Kießling, who combined for all of Leverkuen's five goals.
Moments after netting his 10th league goal of the season, Chicharito left the match in the 79th minute to a standing ovation from the home crowd.
In addition to becoming the first Mexican player with a hat-trick in Bundesliga history, Chicharito has now increased his tally to 15 goals in his last 12 matches for the Werkself.
After Chicharito's phenomenal performance, Leverkusen moved up to seventh in the league table and leveled on points with Schalke 04 with one game remaining before the winter break.
