The new year brings with it a new season in Mexico, as we prepare to finally raise the curtain on the 2012 Clausura. The new Mexican Primera season kicks off this Friday night with Monarcas Morelia playing host to the Tijuana Xolos. The weekend only gets better as Saturday night brings a full slate of enticing early season match-ups. Featured action includes defending champions Tigres taking on Cruz Azul in Mexico City, as well as last season's runners-up Santos Laguna facing a new look Pachuca side. In other matches, Atlante travels to Guadalajara to take on Chivas, while Monterrey hosts last season's surprise team Jaguares Chiapas.
