Chepo Makes Roster Selections for Venezuela Friendly

Mexico national team manager Chepo Manuel de la Torre announced the roster today that he will bring to Houston for next week's friendly against Venezuela. As the match does not fall on an official FIFA date, the team will be made up entirely of domestic players.

Of note is the return of goalkeeper Jesus Corona, who played with the Pan-American team this summer, but has not been called up to the senior national team since his participation in a brawl during last spring’s Liguilla playoffs. Also making a return are Marco Fabian, Israel Jimenez, Javier Cortes, and Nestor Calderon. The four players have completed their six month suspensions for misconduct during last year's Copa America.

The match against Venezuela will take place on Wednesday, January 25th, at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, and will be broadcast at 9pm eastern on Univision. See below for Mexico's complete roster list.
