General public, you get your wish! Both Giovani dos Santos and Javier Hernandez, better known as Chicharito, both get starts tonight for Mexico as Aldo de Nigris and Sinha are moved to the bench. Otherwise, El Tri's lineup remains unchanged for their first 2011 Gold Cup (Copa Oro) match against El Salvador. Here are the lineups
Mexico lineup (4-2-3-1): Ochoa; Salcido, Rodriguez, Moreno, Juarez; Torrado, Castro; Guardado, dos Santos, Barrera; Hernandez
El Salvador lineup: Montes; Anaya, Gonzalez, Turcios, Garcia, Hernandez, D. Alas, Flores, J. Alas, Quintanilla, Zelaya
Forgive me for not being knowledgeable about the El Salvador lineup. I believe that it will be a 4-4-1-1 with Qunitanilla playing behind a lone striker. He's their most dangerous player, and he'll be the only truly major threat that El Tri has to deal with. Real Salt Lake's Arturo Alvarez is injured, and he will not play in this game. Kickoff is at 8 pm ET, 7 pm local time on Univision. We'll have coverage right here.
