The knockout stages of the 2011 Gold Cup are here, and Costa Rica and Honduras no longer have any excuses for the hiccups that they suffered in the group stages of the tournament. The intensity is likely to pick up as a result, as it always does in the knockout stages of these competitions, and I'm expecting a lot of fouls and physical play. Mexico and Guatemala come later, but for now, here are your lineups for the early game.
Costa Rica lineup: Navas, Diaz, Oviedo, Marshall, Acosta, Salvatierra, Borges, Ruiz, Saborio, Urena, Bolanos
Honduras lineup: Valladares, Garca, Sabillion, Garcia, Bernardez, Chavez, Espinoza, Portillo, Thomas, Martinez, Bengtson
Honduras are still without Wilson Palacios, Emilio Izaguirre, and Carlo Costly, significantly weakening their lineup. They're also without Maynor Figueroa, but he isn't even on the roster. Bryan Ruiz is making his second consecutive start for Costa Rica, and he'll probably be better than he was against Mexico. The winners of this game play in the semifinals in Houston on Wednesday, and you can watch this game on Telefutura.
