It appears as if Christian 'Chucho' Benitez's transfer from Santos Laguna has set off a chain reaction, and the transfer rumors in Mexico are already flying all over the place. Though Santos are said to be set on Carlos Darwin Quintero and Oribe Peralta as their starting strikers going into next season, they could use some support. If a report from Medio Tiempo is true, they might have found it in the form of Christian Suarez.
Suarez is an Ecuadorian international who spent this season at Necaxa. With Necaxa going down to the second division, he could be available on the cheap. And, of course, Santos should have money to spend after getting a decent chunk of change from America for Chucho. Suarez can play either as a winger or an attacking midfielder, and he would give Santos some much needed depth in those spots.
This is just one of many stories involving transfers of players in and out of America or Santos right now, so strap on your seatbelts. This transfer window is about to get crazy.
