Jose Manuel 'Chepo' de la Torre has named his 23 man Mexico roster for the upcoming 2011 Gold Cup, or Copa Oro, and it features a couple of surprises. Young up and coming stars Jonathan Dos Santos and Carlos Vela have been left off the roster, and both will presumably be first choice players during Mexico's 2011 Copa America campaign, where they will play with a U-23 side with a couple of overage players. Other slightly surprising omissions are Jonny Magallon, who has fitness concerns and Jonathan Orozco, who has been in great form. Here is the entire roster.
