If you're a fan of Mexican football living on the west coast of the USA who doesn't get a chance to get down to Mexico for any games, you're in luck. A number of Mexican club teams often come up to the states for lucrative friendly matches during both their summer and winter breaks, with this winter break being no exception. Club America and Monarcas Morelia will play a friendly match in Oakland, California on December 29. This match comes just a little more than a week before the start of the 2012 Clausura.
Both America and Morelia should be undergoing some roster changes during the winter break, so this should be a good chance to get an early look at the new signings and promoted youth players for both teams.
Monarcas Morelia opens their 2012 Clausura campaign at home on Friday, January 6 against the Tijuana Xolos. America open their season away to Queretaro a day later, on Saturday.
