Advice while I'm living in Mexico

I'm studying abroad in Mexico for the semester, which happens to run parallel to the Clausura. I was wondering which Puebla home games y'all thought I should make it to.

Here is a fun picture version of the Puebla calendar for this season.

I was thinking Chivas and America. Maybe Tijuana to catch some Americans going up against DaMarcus Beasley.

Which matches would you suggest? Keeping in mind that I'm running on a student budget while I'm down here.

Everybody’s got their favorites so it really depends on you. I agree with your Chivas and America choices. You gotta see them. I’m a fan of Tijuana, Jaguares and Santos so those are the other ones I would pick. Obviously fans of other teams like Cruz Azul, Pumas etc would choose differently.

First off, have fun and make the most of your semester! As for Puebla home games- Chivas, America, Tijuana, and Cruz Azul should all be good ones to catch live. Also, if possible, I’d recommend taking the bus up to the DF some weekend and catching a match – any match really – at the Estadio Azteca.

Thanks

I’m kinda bummed that my exchange program spent 5 days in DF and I didn’t get a chance to see Azteca. Those four matches all sound exciting, here’s hoping I can scrounge up the pesos.

Will Puebla play games at home?

SAT (Mexico’s IRS) took over the stadium Friday. Check before going.

oh wow, did not even know that

I just read some articles and don’t know what to make of it all.

BUAP just finished a 20,000 seat stadium on the other side of town. Lobos has been sharing Estadio Cuauhtemoc with Puebla, don’t see why it couldn’t happen the other way if it absolutely needed to.

Azteca

I’m a club america fan who lives in Scotland. I’ve followed the club for a number of years and i’ve always dreamed of going to catch a super clasico. Personally, that would be top of my list, though i imagine they’re expensive? Plus, as someone above said, its very much a subjective decision depending on who you support. Good luck in your studies.
