Reports coming out of Mexico suggest two Monarcas Morelia fans were gravely injured in fighting after Monarcas' 3-0 win over Cruz Azul. A 22-year-old fan was shot by a 37-year-old Pumas fan and remains in grave condition, while a 25-year-old fan was attacked with a razor by a Cruz Azul fan and was in slightly better condition. There have been no reported deaths in the aftermath of the game, contrary to early rumors suggesting a Cruz Azul fan had been stabbed to death.
